1. Business use and acceptance
These Terms govern the invoicemaster.org website and the Invoice Master app. The service is offered only to businesses and self-employed professionals, including sole proprietors. It is not offered for personal, family, or household use.
By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you are acting for purposes related to your trade, business, craft, or profession. If you act for an organization, you also confirm that you have authority to bind it. You accept these Terms on that basis.
2. Agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Subscription Policy, the Refunds and Chargebacks Policy, and the DPA form the whole agreement between you and us.
3. Scope of service
Invoice Master offers invoicing and related tools. We do not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. You are responsible for the documents you issue.
4. Ownership and customer content
Invoice Master, its software, design, branding, and documentation belong to us or our licensors. As between you and us, you retain all rights you have in content that you or your authorized users upload or create.
You grant us and our authorized service providers a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and format that content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and support the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for legally required retention or temporary backups. You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed to provide the content.
5. Availability and data protection
We use EU hosting with TLS in transit and encryption at rest. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime.
6. Service dependencies
The service depends on the providers identified in the Privacy Policy and DPA. Their outages are outside our control, and the current provider list and data-handling roles are maintained in those documents.
7. Force majeure
We are not liable for events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government action, or large network outages.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties to the extent allowed by law.
9. Limitation of liability
We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for essential duties and capped at the fees you paid in the last 12 months. No liability for indirect loss unless caused by intent or gross negligence.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify us for claims caused by your misuse of the service, except where caused by our intent or gross negligence.
11. Data deletion
Cancellation or downgrade does not delete data. Before you delete the account, use the export before deletion guide to download records you need to keep. After you confirm account deletion, we delete your sign-in account and remove most active workspace records from the primary application database. Uploaded files and some technical or workspace records may remain in active systems. Billing records, security logs, provider backups, transactional email records, and data held by service providers may also remain under applicable retention settings or where retention is legally required.
12. Changes to the service
We may add, change, or remove features. If we discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to download available invoices, PDFs, or reports before billing stops.
13. Notices
We send legal notices to the email on file. Keep your contact details current.
14. Governing law and venue
German law governs these Terms. Exclusive venue is Dresden, Germany.
15. Severability
If one clause is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious breach. On termination you must stop using the service.
17. Billing and refunds
Billing and refunds are governed by the Subscription Policy and the Refunds and Chargebacks Policy. We do not refund unused time after cancellation. We refund billing errors, duplicates, and unauthorized payments.
